... it never fails we go through phases where milk spoils OR we never have enough around. This allows us to make it/use it as needed. With the sale price and Super Saver Free Shipping, this is very cost effective. It was a big help having it on hand when this winter's storms made milk, bread and eggs hard to find and we didn't need to go out looking!
It tastes better COLD, mixes easily...no complaints here. |

| I've been using Saco Dried Milk for years. Remember that this product settles during shipping and handling. I use one cup of Saco dried milk to 4 cups of water. You honestly can't tell the difference between this and fresh milk if prepared this way. It sure beats wasting gas to run to the store ' just for milk.' This is an excellent product, and I use it daily, as I don't buy fresh milk anymore. |

| It tastes decent, mixes pretty well, and is convenient. But why would I pay $3.50 a gallon for milk that's not quite as good, and that I have to make myself, when I can buy a gallon at the store for $2.97 or even $1.97 on sale. If I didn't drink much milk, this might be convenient since I wouldn't have to worry about milk going sour, but otherwise...what a rip-off! |

| This is the milk we use all the time. It is superior to other milks that we tried because it has the added vitamins and minerals like the milk in the refrigerator section. The taste of the milk is good for drinking. My kids have no complaints about it. We do take special care to make the milk well in advance of drinking it so it is cold. This milk froths nicely when using it for making cappuccinos. It is good for use in cooking though I have not used it as a dry ingredient in baking but I can assume it would be good that way also. |

My husband and I started drinking non-fat dry milk eons ago and when we found the Saco brand in the stores we frequented, we snapped them up.
Unfortunately, our stores quit carrying it and we had to look elsewhere. Here comes to the rescue!
We enjoy the flavor (as long as it's cold), and the larger size just means we can go longer without having to buy it.
We use it whenever milk is called for; in cooking, cereals, etc. Also, we have an automatic ice cream maker and one call to Saco provided us with the amount of dry milk to use to give us a general consistency (sans the creamier-making fat, of course).
We've tried other brands of non-fat dry milk and we seem to always return to Saco. |
