  • Electric popper uses hot air, not oil, for a healthy, low-calorie treat
  • Faster and more economical than microwave-bag popcorn
  • Produces virtually no unpopped kernels with either regular or gourmet popcorn
  • Makes up to 18 cups in less than 2-1/2 minutes
  • Handy measuring cup doubles as a butter melter;14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches

Pop some corn, snuggle up on the sofa, and grab the remote control. Whether it's a romantic evening for two, or a family tradition involving children and maybe even the family dog, popcorn is the perfect snack for a night at home watching movies. Since this popper pops with hot air and not oil, you can munch without guilt (or add some melted butter and promise to walk it off the next day).

Plug in the Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you'll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That's not to say you can't add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn't fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto's PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the popper with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

Almost there2010-03-104 / 5
When I was growing up my Dad had an Orville Redenbacher that popped the perfect bowl of popcorn, only one or two un-popped kernels it had an on/off switch, the popcorn spun in and a metal butter melter. Unfortunately this isn't the same one. It pops almost all of the kernals, spits out about 8 or 9 when it first starts and some un popped get mixed in with the rest of the bowl. I wish it had an on/off switch and metal melter. I don't use the plastic butter metal/measuring cup to melt butter, getting butter off plastic sucks. It way out performs my last popper which melted, it was a toast master that I got cheap at Target, it spun the kernels but spit out over half un popped. So this gets 4 stars for way outperforming the toastmaster but only 4 cause its not the same one that lasted my dad over 20 years.
Love it!2010-03-044 / 5
Works great! I always grew up with a hot-air popcorn popper. One suggestion is to let it run/warm-up for about a minute before you drop the kernels in...helps with the popping. Enjoy!
Doesn't work for AMARANTH2010-02-263 / 5
I wanted to use the popper for amaranth, but the holes that the hot air blows through are to large; the amaranth falls right through the holes. I'm sure it works great as a corn popper though. No fault by the product or company. Hope this review helps someone else avoid the same mishap.
Great and Easy to Use Popcorn Popper2010-02-165 / 5
After researching popcorn poppers (there are so many choices), we decided on this one and we are glad we did. It's extremely easy to use --- pour in the kernals, plug it in, and in two minutes you have a HUGE bowl of popcorn. The reason I decided to purchase an air popper was to have more healthy, wholesome snacks for my kids and although we eat a lot of the good stuff, we also eat a lot of junk too. This was a great way for us to continue enjoying popcorn but not all the bad stuff that normally comes with microwave and/or oil popped corn. We don't put anything extra on it and my kids love it. We have been using Orville Redenbacher's Original popping corn and like it a lot but am definitely interested in trying other kinds in the future. Overall, I am totally pleased and definitely recommend it to all who are looking for a fast way to make healthy popcorn.
The Easiest Way I've Found To Make Delicious Popcorn!2010-02-165 / 5
You put in 1/4-cup popcorn. You cover the top so it doesn't pop out. You put a large bowl under it. You plug it in. You wait until it stops popping and you have popcorn!

This is so easy and it can be healthy to make your own popcorn rather than buy packages with unhealthy ingredients. YOU get to decide if you want salt or butter or other spices on it.

Excellent product. I recommend it for its simplicity and because it works well.
