| Great Headphones for General Purpose | 2010-02-15 | 5 / 5 |

| As almost all the reviewers have said, these headphones are great. Bose has some of the best sound quality devices ever engineered and these headphones are right up there. The comfort, quality, and durability are all great. The onl qualms i have with the product is that the rubber pieces fall off pretty easily. If you get hit even lightly or tug on them the wrong way the rubber parts will fall off and are easily lost. Just keep that in mind. But that pales in comparison to how great these are for general usage. Music sounds phenomenal and even computer games sound great with them. Buy these, you wont regret it. |
| Comfortable ear piece! | 2010-02-11 | 5 / 5 |

| The quality of sound is great! I really like the adjustable ear pieces. Especially I have very small ears and usually feel uncomfortable to use earphones which hurt the inner parts of my ear quite a bit after using it a while. But this product is great! They do not hurt my ear, and I can enjoy music, radio shows, movies, etc. for a long time. |

| I bought my first set of ear buds for my son, he seemed to really like them, but kept complaining that he couldn't use them because he lost the little rubber pieces on the end. I was in the market for a new set myself so I bought a set also. I gave my son the extra rubber pieces, and then lost mine, Both extra sets gone! These headphones are expensive but a waste of time! Do not buy them. The rubber pieces fall off with simple use and storage. The earphone itself fell apart after two weeks of use, and the wire is WAY too long. I was tucking it everywhere. I was fed-up and threw them away. I use my music for exercise and these ear buds, however great on sound, stunk on dependablity, durability and ease of use. I would never buy Bose again. sticking to my sony ear buds which lasted me 2 1/2 years of constant use is a much better value and great sound. Alot of hype for nothing. very disappointing! |

I actually got these for $50 because I know someone who works at Bose and I got their company discount. I said for $50, I'll try them. I've bought many different in-ear headphones and always look for more. The only positive thing I can really say is they are comfortable in your ear. Just like many others have mentioned, the rubber piece constantly falls out and they slide out of your ear while working out. I also don't like the fact they don't block any noise at all. My mp3 player has be put up to the mid to high 20's for me to hear the music at a decent noise level. Every other in-ear or earbud headphone I had was very loud by the time I reached 15...and would be very loud in the mid 20's.
Sound Quality: Ok, so this is what I assume most people would think is most important. Are these clear? Yes. Are they superior to basically any other in-ear headphone at $50 or more? No way. You miss so many sounds with these compared to other headphones. I've heard more instruments and more real, rich sounding music with other headphones. I paid $60 for an ultimate ears in-ear headphones that blow these Bose away. You really have to start doing blind tests and you will find that your not getting any better sound because they say Bose. I see so many people look at the name and then just assume they sound great because they are Bose. If you show them other headphones and let them listen without knowing the brand...most wouldn't pick Bose at all. It just amazes me that people just come in with a preconceived notion that Bose headphones are great and then they are already convinced.
The only reason I gave these two stars was because they were somewhat comfortable if your just sitting around. I've already given mine away and don't miss them at all. Save your money and you can pay around $20-$35 for in-ear headphones that will sound just as good and most of the time better than the Bose ones. They are just as comfortable and will last you awhile. If you can compare headphones, do a blind test and don't be fooled that you are getting superior sound because you paid more or because of Bose marketing. These should really be priced at about $20. I currently listed to a $24 creative labs earbud style that sounds a lot better and louder. At the $50 I paid they are a rip-off, at $100 Bose is laughing their way to the bank.
I just recently bought the Klipsch S4 in ear headphones. For less than what Bose charges these sound so much better. |
