| Just tried my hand at sushi making for the first time with this kit. One mistake I made was that I did all the rice for my first time; which ended up being more then I wanted to make. I also will have to disagree with the book which says it only takes 5 minutes of de-starching/washing the rice. It took me an hour of constant washing to get it clear. The sushi book isn't really the best for recipes, at least the ones I like. It also suggests using items like turkey/chicken; which, seems too strange for me to even bother trying. The texture and flavor do not make sense for sushi. |
